A repeat lunch at Michelin starred Chishuru. Great West African food. Just as awesome as last time. Such interesting combinations, well spiced and flavoursome. Top service too in a buzzy room. Really enjoyed this one again. Superb value too.
Incredible experience dining here. Wonderful fresh food, created with love and quality. Would highly recommend for a exquisite filling lunch. The nature of the business really stands out. Our host was incredible, her name escapes me unfortunately but I remember she's Cameroonian. Made the lunch even more special.
What an adventure in flavours! This was such a wonderful culinary experience, the depth of flavours, the incredible service, the beautiful setting all contributed to a lovely evening. The tasting menu was a journey in complex layers of unusual flavours. The pepper soup and the "moinmoin" in particular were mind-blowing. The monkfish was also delicious. The butternut squash was somewhat disappointing, there's a fine line between subtle and simply bland, and this dish sadly just missed the mark. Nonetheless a beautiful restaurant with beautiful food and I can't go back to try the lamb.
Great service and friendly staff! Some dishes were outstanding with unique flavors and textures that really stood out. However, the fish was bland and lacked depth in flavour (not shown in pics). I appreciated the extra dishes provided. Normally, I would rate this 4/5, but given the price and the Michelin star, I expected a lot more from the overall experience.
Wonderful west African restaurant in a laid back setting serving some unique and flavorful dishes. There is one tasting menu and a wine flight - personally I liked the meat dish more than the fish dish as the flavor was a bit more intense with the meat. There is a french only wine list in case you want to choose a bottle. The service is super friendly and provides great insight on the different ingredients and produce. Give this spot a try!
